Tight Game at Nova Results in 11-13 Loss

La Salle played its first ever Water Polo game Tuesday night! The game was tight throughout, with La Salle leading after the first quarter. Villanova regained the lead in the second half, only to see several more lead changes in the second half! When the final whistle sounded, Villanova came out on top 13-11. It was an impressive showing from a young La Salle team against one of the top squads in the Mid-Atlantic contest.

Everyone contributed for La Salle, but the stars of the game were undoubtedly #4 Ben Fallon and #2 Chris Cefalo, who won player of the game for La Salle. They scored the lion's share of La Salle's goals and were tireless in the water, tracking back to make several great defensive plays. #3 Sean McMichael also added a pair of goals for La Salle. Keeper Kyle Manning turned a solid second half performance after a shaky start, arriving late and not playing goal until the second quarter. Rory McDonald and Katie Henry looked very menacing at times, and Theresa Glinski, Antoinnette High and Phil Hill also turned in solid performances!

Full stats and pictures from the game will be posted within the next few days.

La Salle's next game is Thursday, September 17 against F&M. Lets go Explorers!
